New Royal Cypher on postal van unveiled
Nov. 11, 1952 - New Royal Cypher On Postal Van Unveiled By Postmaster General: The Postmaster General, Earl De La Warr, this morning unveiled the first postal van to bear the new Royal Cypher. There are about 2, 200 motor mail vans in the London Area - and approximately 12, 000 on the roads of the United Kingdom. In time all these vans will carry the new Cypher of Her Majesty.
