New trains for London Underground demonstrated
Sep. 09, 1970 - New trains For Circle And Hammersmith and City Lines: The first of 35 new six-car trains ordered for the Circle and Hammersmith and City lines at a cost of about £8 million will go into service shortly. This morning one of the new trains went on a short press demonstration trip from Moorgate Station. The special features include Air Suspension and more double doors. Photo shows view inside the new train as it went on its demonstration run today
