New trains for London Underground demonstrated

Sep. 09, 1970 - New Trains For Circle And Hammersmith and City Lines. The first of 35 new six-car trains ordered for the Circle and Hammersmith and City Lines at a cost about £8 million will go into service shortly. This morning one of the new trains went on a short press demonstration trip from Moorgate Station. The special features include air suspension and more double doors.
