New transport system for Canada, Minister Gordon Carton
1963 - New Transport System For Canada: The Government Of Ontario, Canada has recommended that most of its larger cities adopt a new transurban transportation system developed by Krauss-Maffei in Munich. So impressed with the new scheme, Minister of Transport, Mr. Gordon Carton visited the Munich offices to see over the latest possibilities that can be adapted to suit different population densities. The engines are electrical and it may need a continuous conveyor belt, as a non-stop system of coaches or as a fully automatic railway and it has an absolutely operational safety claim. Picture shows Dr. Gerhard Tiffe, leader of the transport section of Krauss-Maffei with Mr. Gordon Carton in front of a model of the transportation system.
