Feb. 02, 1969 - King Hussein inaugurates new Wharf at Aquaba port: A general view of the new wharf at Aquaba port which was inaugurated on Friday (Jan 31) by King Hussein of Jordan, together with the new installations including two stores of 60-thousands ton capacity, an automatic apparatus for loading phosphate and the expanded electric power. The new installations at the port was built by the German Zeppelin company, in the presence of the West German Minister of Economic Cooperation, Dr. Erhard Epplier. In the pictures a Japanese ship can be seen loading phosphate
