Jul. 07, 1977 - Thursday July 14th 1977, New York City. While power was slowly being restored to the city of New York following yesterday blackout, looters were still being arrested in large numbers. OPS: Suspected looters being removed from the temporary jail that was set up tho hold them, due to overcrowding. By the end of the day busloads of arrested looters had to be sent back to the precincts where they were arrested because the central temporary jail was full.
