Jun. 06, 1966 - Norman Baillie Stewart - The Officer in the tower Dies: Norman Baillie Stewart, the Officer in the Tower, who was jailed before the war for betraying British military secrets to the Germans, died yesterday. He collapsed with a heart attack in a street in Dublin, where he had been living since 1950. Baillie-Stewart, 57 recently finished writing his memoirs. He claimed to have documents proving that he was wrongly imprisoned in 1946 his second spell in jail - for helping Lord Haw Haw (William Joyce), the propaganda broadcaster for Nazi Germany. Baillie-Stewart was a lieutenant in the Seaforth Highlanders when he was first arrested in 1933 and imprisoned in the Tower of London.
