Apr. 16 US Writer Norman Mailer discusses with students in the University of Munich, West Germany: In these days the students of the Munich University had a prominent panel member. Norman Mailer. The author of Die Nackten und die Toten (The Naked and the Dead) and many other bestsellers, came on a four day visit from London, where he is standing in front of the camera of the successful director Milos Forman, Einer flog uber das Kuckucksnest (One flew over the cuckoo's nest), for the film Ragtime, to the Bavarian capital. The reason: A documentary film about the work of a writer, just in the making in Munich, in which the 57 year old Mailer is the leading actor. The discussion with the students, where he talked mostly about his new literary work, appearing soon, a second book about Marilyn Monroe, also belonging to the documentary film.
