Aug. 08, 1979 - Minister of the Arts Launches the Rocket - The Rt Hon Norman St John Stevas, Minister for the Arts, today launched the demonstration runs of the newly built copy of Stephenson's Rocket, in Hyde Park, London. The Rocket will run on a length of railway track in Albert Memorial Road, adjacent to the Memorial and opposite the Royal Albert Hall, from Saturday 25 August until Sunday 2 September.
