Odeon Theatre occupation, evacuated by police, France

Jun. 14, 1968 - After a month long occupation, the Odeon Theatre was taken by the police on Friday morning. The evacuation ended without incident. More than a hundred people were dislodged and allowed to leave after their identity was verified. The tricolore (French) flag had been placed on the theatre's pediment after the black and red emblems had been snatched by the special police brigades. Pictured in front of the Odeon is a group of journalists watching an employee begin to clean up in front of the theatre
