NISSHO MARU (132, 000 tons) finished her trials off Tokyo bay this week before going into service between Japan and the Persian Gulf. The huge vessel built for Idemitsu Kosan Ltd. can carry 146, 000 kilo liters of crude oil in a single voyage. Her overall lenght is 954 feet, she is 141 ft. wide and 73 ft.deep. She has a draft of 55 ft. speed of 18 knots with a full load and service speed of 16 knots. Her keel was laid Nov. 18th, 1961 and launched in July 10th, 1962. delivery date was Oct. 7th, 1962
