Oct. 10, 1973 - Langley oil depot blaze : From about 5 0clock last night until about 2.a.m this morning 680 tons of high grade petrol and 370 tons of diesel fuel in 13 rail tanker blazed away. At the height of the blaze the flame threatened to spread an lgnits more than million tons of fuel in six gastroenteritis tanks this massive all night fuel free was at the small town of Langley, bucks. In the total oil company's biggest fuel depotain Britain and supplies heath row airport and all southern England with petrol and oils. families on a 150 house eat evacuated when the fire broke out, and they were not allowed back until 7 clock this morning. photo shows Fireman fighting the fire at the Langley depot at the height of the blaze
