Apr. 26, 1977 - 80th Birthday of Olga Tschechowa: Olga Tschechowa, Russian-German actress, will be 80 years old on April 26th 1977. She was born as the daughter of the Tsarist railway minister in Bolschoi Kavkaz, got her education at Moscow actor-school with the famous Konstantin Stanislavski. After she gave birth to a daughter and later divorced from actor Michael Tschechowa, Olga got into the troubles of the Russian revolution and ran away to Germany, where her great career started. The first film was, in 1921, Castle Vogelod - more than 100 followed, which were not only very successful in Germany, but also in many other countries. After the Second World War, Olga Tschechowa founded a cosmetics firm, whose products are well-known all over the world. Photo shows Olga Tschechowa in 1977 as entrepreneur in her Munich office
