Negro Ensemble Company from New York in Munich, part of the Olympic Cultural programme are two plays - The Dream of Monkey Mountain by Derek Waloott and The Sty of Blind Pig by Philipp Hayes Dean, which will be seen in the MunichTheatre Kammerspiele under the management of August Everding fromJuly 31st until August 6th. The Negro Ensemble Company, founded in 1966 by Douglas Turner Ward, which gives the starring tour exclusively, is one of the rare American repertory theatres and all members of the ensemble, 40 technicians, as well as the actors, musicians etc. OPS: A hostess (L) presents Olympic buttons to the members of the Negro Ensemble Company from New York, when they arrived at Munich airport.
