Feb. 29 Canada Begins preparations for the Olympic in 1976: In 1976 the Olympics (Which take place once every 4 years) will take place in Montreal, Canada, and already special commemorative coins, are being minted in Ottawa, Ontario. These coins will be used as Canadian currency. It is the privilege of the host country, to mint such coins, and it is now a tradition. The coin blanks, being passed into the stamp at the Royal Canadian mint. Ottawa
