Fourteen sites for the 1972 Winter Olympic Games have been selected in Sappero City, and nearby mountains of Hokkaido, Japan;s northern most island, and preparations are already under-way in remodelling and constructing the various sites for the great event. The Speed Skating Rink where the opening ceremony will take place will have seating capacity for 50, 000 persons, while the Indoor Skating Arena, where the closing ceremony will be held will seat 12, 000 persons
