Mar. 27 Giant Floodlights For Munich Olympics Areas. Giant floodlights are being installed for the Olympic areas of Munich. On 43ft high masts 8 rows of 16 floodlights each are fixed, which will bring light into the darkness of the Oberwiesenfeld and change the night into day for the athletes from all over the world and the sands of visitors in the great Olympic Stadium if it is needed. The magnificent installation is constructed in a way that it adapts itself automatically to the natural conditions of the light i.e. it regulates its illuminating power according to the growing darkness respective light. So far, two of the installations of floodlight have been put up - two more are to follow
