Olympics - Pan American Games
Aug. 08, 1960 - An invasion of sportive travellers to Rome: came upon the Munich main station on Aug. 23rd when with a special train the German Sporting Youth departed from Munich for Rome. 240 girls and 360 boys received their dresses in Munich. They received their sportive out-fit which is made of Diolen with woosted wool and is very light - good for the hot days to come in Rome - The 600 youths were lucky enough to be chosen for this journey to the Olympic Games in Rome (as guests) out of about 20 000 applicants. They are members of German sport clubs, and will live in Rome in a tent camp at the Via Aurelia
