Aug. 08, 1964 - The Tokyo Olympic Park ready for the games. The train like press boxes at the Athletic Stadium. Work was completed this week on the Komazawa Olympic Park six kilometres from Tokyo ready for the Games. The 410, 000 square metre area which cost Four Billion, Six Hundred Million Yen to construct - includes the athletic stadium; Gymnasium ball game field; hockey pitch; sub track; volley ball court a Plaza Parking areas and the Olympic Memorial Tower which is also a Control Tower for TV Radio and the Games in general. Photo shows: The Press boxes for newspapermen- radio and television broadcasters at the Athletic Stadium resemble a tube train. The overhanging roof is designed in the form of huge Japanese fans. This stadium holds 22, 000 and is for football matches Preliminary sports events etc
