May 05, 1963 - Electronic-mathematician by the Olympic Games - By -the Olympic Winter Games in Innsbruck and also by the Olympic Summer Games in Tokyo a new electronical date- transmission-system will make automatic within some seconds registration, examination and working out of all results. From all parts of the event, which are often more than 30 kilometres away of the Olympic Calculation Centre, the results of the different competitions will be given to the data- or result-transmission-system by telephone. After some secendes the members of the competitions, the spectators and also the workers of the newspapers and picture-agencies are informed over the- correct results of the competitions. A team of chosen out mathematicians would need some hours to evaluate the dates. The electronic mathematician is not only serving for the rapid transmission of the results, but for the first time an electronic calculation-plant by the Olympic Games will make full use of the announcement of the members for wishes of lodging and kinds of competitions, the plant will make the captions of the competitions-notices press addressees of about 8000 clubs of the Deutschen Turnerbund (German Gymnastic--Club) and will write the lodging-lists. And for the first time it will be possible to hand over she winner-documents to the winner only a short time after the end of the competition.
