Sep. 06, 1960 - Record Breaking 400 M Final Winners: The 400 Metres final this afternoon was won by Davis (USA) with second Kaufmann (Germany) and in third place Spence (SA). Both Davis and Kaufmann clocked 44.9 which is a new world record - while Spence was inside the Olympic record.
