Oct. 10, 1971 - THE MUNICH OLYMPIC RIDING STADIUM GETS ITS GRASS: The grass is put out.. here on the Olympic Riding Stadium in Munich-Riem. The green carpet was transported in rolls of about 2 yards length each and will be put on the ground in piece in the next days. The sports ground is going to have a size of about 150 to 90 Yards. On the Riding stadium in Munich Riem, which costs about 11 Million Marks (almost 3.5 million $) the single-riding, the military-jumping and the riding in the modern pentathlon will take place. The stadium (background) has room for 19 000 spectators and there also are stalls for 370 horses, two riding-halls for training, trainingplaces, 100 double-rooms for the horse-fosterers and an own horse-hospital with 20 boxes and laboratories
