Oct. 10, 1968 - The fastest gun in the world.: Bob Braithwaite, British gold medal winner at the Olympic games at Mexico, flew into London today. and he talked of the two that away-the two clay pigeons he failed ti hit as he shoot 198 out of 200 to win Britain's first Olympic shooting medal for 60 years. The clays seemed to come a little faster out there - perhaps because of the thinner air he said The first one I missed i did not see until it was too late.'I let off a sho because you live in hope. The next one though, was just a plane badshot. They were in my first 25, and saw I know I could not afford to miss anymore.
