Olympics - Pan American Games

Nov. 11, 1971 - Olympia Floodlight Installation At The Munich Olympic Grounds Put On For The First Time For the first time..... the floodlight construction at the Munich Olympic grounds was switched on. Although only 16 of the lamps were used (the constructions gets 8 lines with 16 lamps each) it was almost as light as during the daytime, so the builders don't have to interrupt their work if necessary and are able to go on even when it is dark outside. During the Olympic games the big stadium will be lighted by four of the gigantic floodlight-constructions. Ops: Two contrasts, technic and the romantic moonlight over the tent roof of the Olympic grounds
