Dec. 12, 1971 - The Big Olympic Lake Is Ready: Today the water was pouring into the basin of the lake specially constructed for the olympics. In bad weather water collecting on the roof of the big stadium will be diverted into the lake which is therefore functional as well as decorative! Photo shows Carl Mertz, Chairman of the Olympic Building Corporation, helps the worker who opened the sluices out of the water
