Jubilant Welcome For Rosi Mittelmaier in Her Hometown: the streets of the Reit im Winki, Wintersport town in Upper Bavaria were very crowded on the night of February 16th, 1979/ Thousands of people had been waiting for hours to welcome their Rossie Mittermmier back home. The skier, who won two gold - and one silver medal at the Olympic Games in Innsbruck was brought into town by a carriage-and-four to the main place, where she was welcomed by the mayor who made hear and honorary citizen.
