Jun. 06, 1980 - Munich, West Germany: Open Air Festival With Some Very Popular Groups To a great success.... became also in this year the Open Air Festival of Munich, West Germany, which took place on June 1st, 1980 in the Olympic riding stadium in Riem. About 30, 000 fans from all over Bavaria visited this meeting - and although the weather has been rainy and cold, the atmosphere was hot (but peaceful); no wonder, a lot of very famous groups and singers provided for a real good feeling, for exultation and ringing cheers. After the great success of the 1st Munich Open Air Festival in the last year and also now in 1980, - this music festival is said to get tradition and will be arranged every year in Munich in the future.
