Jan. 01, 1966 - Orangerie Museum Acquires Jean Walter-Paul Guillaume Collection: The exceptional collection has been exhibited at the Orangerie in Paris. After Paul Guillaume's death his widow Jean Walter continued collecting the remarkable impressionists: Renoir, Cezanne and Monet, and contemporary paniters such as Modigliani, Matisse, Van Dongen, and Picasso. Jean Walter made the collection a gift to the Musee de L'Orangerie. Photo shows Education Minister Andre Malraux at the opening
