Oct. 10, 1975 - Doctors Call Off Boycott Of NHS Inquiry: Doctors last night withdrew their threat to boycott the Royal Commission on the National Health Service after the Prime Minister told the Commons that the inquiry would be free to consider the relationship between the NHS and Private medical practice. But although tension between the Government and the British Medical Association caused a few doctors to stay away from work, and junior doctors at many hospitals yesterday treated only children and emergency cases.
