Mar. 27 Flamsteed House To Be Opened By The Queen.. To Form Part Of The National Maritime Museum. H.M. The Queen is to perform the ceremony of opening Flamsteed House, forming part of the Royal Observatory Buildings at Greenwich - as an extension to the National Maritime Museum. It is striking eight sided tower on top of the hill in Greenwich Park. It was designed by Sir Christopher Wren in 1675. the building has been under re-construction since 1958.
