Feb. 28 Made of special wood are the puppets of Otto Bille (our picture) - of lime wood. The 47 years old puppet player from Munich makes them himself, he now owns a hundred of them, including the king, the skinny witch and of course Punch! They are giving their performances in a garage, which has been changed into a puppet theatre, about 200 a year. 14 different fairy tales are on the programme of Otto Bille, who has been doing this for 26 years now, helped by his wife, who takes care of the clothes. For the making of one dress for the 70 cms high puppets, she takes a full day of work
