Pan's People dancers painted gold for Top of the Pops
Dec. 12, 1968 - Pan's people go Gold for Christmas top of the pops. Six dolly, dolly girls went gold today when BBC-TV filmed the Christmas edition of Top of The Pops, at the Television Centre. Europe's top dancing team, Pan's people, who are featured regularly on Britain's top pop TV show, were painted all over in gold for their appearance on the Christmas special. There have been occasions before now of girls going gold. But never before have Six been painted in one go.
