Parade in memory of communist martyrs, East Berlin
Jan. 01, 1953 - Persecution of Jews and honouring of Jews at the same time! While in the East Zone of Germany the Jewish population is not safe from persecution, they were honouring two Jews at the memorial monument in Berlin Lichterfelde: Karl Liebknecht and Rosa Luxemburg, two fighters in the first rank for socialism. They honoured them in remembrance on the 34th anniversary of their assassination during the Berlin riots in 1919. Our Picture shows a delegation of the People's Police laying down a wreath
