Jan. 01, 1958 - The first lock to the Neckar harbour of Stuttgart.: Unofficially yesterday (Jan. 30, 59) the first person-ship the Stuttgart, able to carry 340 person, has been locked for trial through the Neckar lock at Cannstatt and Unterturkheim, direction Neckar harbour Stuttgart (which officially shall be opened at March 31, 58). Photo shows the historical moment, when the ship was passing the lock at Cansstatt and the king-Charles-bridge, admired by the spectators
