Passengers of hijacked plane released at CDG airport, Paris

Sep. 09, 1976 - THE HIJACKED TWA BOEING 727 AIRLINER LANDS IN PARIS. Five terrorists who hijacked a TWA airliner from America to Paris on Saturday were returned to the United States last night on a French military jet to face murder charges. The hijack, revealed at its end as a simple propaganda display for Croatian nationalists, went badly wrong when a bomb attached to a list of demands left behind in New York exploded, killing a policeman and injuring three others. The 59 passengers and crew of the hijacked airliner were released unharmed after the plane landed on a remote corner of Paris's Charles de Gaulle airport.
