She will leave for America next weekend to spend three months working on a new film. This courageous woman, who is the wife of writer Roald Dahl, has fought a long battle against disaster one of her children died after an illness and her son Theo was seriously injured in an accident in New York, and when she was at the height of her career, having won an Oscar for her performance in Hud, Pat was struck down by her illness. But during these troubled times, Pat, who now lives contentedly with her family in Great Missenden, had no doubts about her recovery her youngest child was born while she was still partly paralysed.
