Patrick Gordon Walker opens his by-election campaign

Jan. 01, 1965 - Foreign Secretary opens his by-Election campaign : The Rt. Hon Patrick Gordon Walker the Foreign Secretary opened his campaign for the Leyton by-election this morning at Leyton. It is expected that the Colour Bar question will be the chief issue at the by-election because it was the immigration problem which lost him the general election seat at Smethwick. Photo shows Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Walker leaving the committee rooms after the press conference this morning. During the night the walls were daubed with Swastika slogans
