Aug. 08, 1966 - Jane and I marry soon, says Paul.: Paul McCartney, the only unmarried member of The Beatles, announced in New York that he would be getting married soon. Answering a question at a Press Conference, Paul said: I'm probably going to get married to Jane Asher. Excited teenagers quizzed him about Jane when 150 fans, specially selected from 12, 000 applicants, met The Beatles in the first organised meeting with their fans held in the United States.
