Sep. 09, 1966 - Pop Poll Awards Presentation.:Melody Maker, the musical weekly's pop poll awards were yesterday presented at the Top of the GPO TOwer restaurant in London yesterday. Dusty Springfield collected two Oscars - one for being voted the best British girl singer and the other as best international vocalist. Tom Jones was the best male singer, and the Beatles were voted top group.
