PC Bill Netting crowned as Ring Pull King, London
Aug. 20, 1979 - August 20th 1979 Bill Netting crowned ring-pull-king Police Constable Bill Netting was today crowned Ring-Pull-King of the world, because he has collected 66 million ring pulls from cans of drink to help the National Kidney Research Fund. The ring pulls are made of non-ferrous metal and are sold to metal dealers for the vital cash needed to step-up kidney research in Britain. Photo Shows: P.C.
