Peace demonstration, former state opera, East Berlin
1953 - That's their civilisation! The festival held on the occasion of the completion of the former state opera Unter den Linden in East Berlin was made a demonstration of the peace-will of the workers'. A large wreath was hoisted with the minister for public education and worship Paul Wandel present. And then 1600 workers marched to the now state opera in the former Admiral's Palace where they had a festival
