Sep. 09, 1961 - Mayor of Greenwich, who saw Dr Klaus Fuchs in Germany, fined £1: Mrs. Peggy Middleton, the Socialist Mayor of Greenwich, who saw nuclear scientist spy Dr. Klaus Fuchs while on a peace visit to East Germany earlier this month, was this morning fined £1 at Bow Street Court, London, for her part in the civil disobedience demonstration held by the anti-nuclear warfare Committee of 100 on September 17 in Trafalgar Square.
