People take cover from shooting, return of Peron from exile

Jun. 06, 1973 - Ex-President Peron back in Argentina.: At least 20 Argentinians were killed in gun battles which broke out on the arrival back from exile of Juan Peron, the ex-Argentine president. About three million people turned out to greet him and the welcome became so violent that his plane was diverted to the Moron Air Force base near Buenos Aires. The Former President cancelled arrangements to address the vast crowd at a rally. Photo shows people take refuge behind a car as shooting broke out, on the occasion of the return of ex-president Peron
