Peter Handke, Austrian writer, receives Kafka Prize

A further honour is now conferred on the often prized Peter Handke, he is (from the International Kafka Symposium in Klosterneuburg near Vienna, Austria) awarded with the first given Franz Kafka Prize, in height of about 7000 dollars. Born in Austria, living in Paris, the 35 years old writer and film maker got a lot of awards for his stage and film works ('The Left Handed Woman'. Kaspar') for his novels and lyric - The Schiller - and Hauptmann Prize, the Rosegger Award; - but the now promised Kafka Prize is the first literary award which he got from his native country
