Jul. 07, 1963 - Wasn't that a dainty dish to set Before the King.: This dainty dish that is set before the King is Veronique Vendell, a 21-year-old French starlet. The King is King Henry II, played by Peter O'Toole in the film version of Becket'. The sequence shown here is the King enjoying the fruits of his victory in France - Veronique is one of the four girls that the King gambola with. To versions of the sequence have had to be shot, one for the Continent, in which all of Veronique will be seen : and another for the rest of the World, in which slightly less of her will be revealed.
