Nov. 14, 1967 - Mr. Peter Parker expected to be named as new Chairman of British Railways Mrs. Barbara Castle is expected to name a 43-year old industrialist as the new chairman of British Railways within the next few days. He is Mr. Peter Parker, director of Booker Brothers engineering firm. Last night, Mr. Parker spoke at his home in Kensington, London, of his prospects of succeeding Sir Stanley Raymond. I've had no clear out proposition put to me, but I understand that my name is being considered. he said. Mr. Parker went on: Naturally I am very proud that my name is being considered.
