Phyllis Sispera vanishes from home in Prague
Jul. 07, 1955 - British Mother who hoped to come home - Vanishes from her home in Prague.: British born Mrs.Phylis Sispera who was hoping to be allowed to return to England soon with her three children - has vanished from her Prague home. She had been taken to an unknown address in the House of Commons by Mr. Anthony Nutting. Minister of State for Foreign Affairs. He said that the Government were making enquiries. Mrs. Sispera and her husband Czech born Jaraslav Sispera were arrested when they tried to flee-to-the-west from Czechoslovakia. She had been sentenced to 12 months imprisonment and he to 12 years and their children were taken away from her. It was recently announced that she was being released so that she could return home.
