Jan. 01, 1957 - The Montesi Case opens in Venice. Piero Piccioni one of the accused: Many well known personalities are expected to be involved in the Montesi Case which opens today in the Palace of Justice, Venice. The scandal started when the partly clothed body of 21 year old Wilma Montesi was found on a beach near Rome. Investigations disclosed alleged drug and sex orgies in Italian high Society. Jazz Band Leader Piero Piccioni son of former Italian Foreign Minister Attilio Piccioni is to be charged with culpable manslaughter.
