Pierre Monteux and BBC Symphony Orchestra, London
Feb. 02, 1953 - Music master in London : 77-year old Pierre Monteux, who was born in Paris, and at one time conducted the Diaghilev Ballet, conducts the BBC Symphony Orchestra at the Royal Festival Hall tomorrow. In recent years he has spent a great deal of his time in America and retired from the conductorship of the San Francisco Symphony Orchestra year or two ago.
