Mar. 27 Riots during a demonstration against the erection of a Nuclear Power plant in Niedersachsen (Lower Saxony), Federal Republic of Germany. Some days ago riots took place in the north of Germany. There thousands of citizens of the Federal Republic of Germany met for a great demonstration against the erection of a nuclear power plant that is being planned. After the ending of the demonstration about 5000 extremists tried to storm the building site, leading to a three-hour fight between demonstrators and more than 4, 000 policemen who were guarding the site. The result of the riot was 237 policemen and 80 demonstrators injured, and 26 people arrested. Photo shows policemen at the building site with demonstrators in the background
